Atrium Health Navicent
Atrium Health Navicent has more than 1,000 beds for medical, surgical, rehabilitation, and hospice purposes; over 50 specialties in more than 50 facilities throughout the region; and hosts over 100 medical residents and fellows. Atrium Health Navicent provides a broad range of community-based, outpatient diagnostic, primary care, extensive home health and hospice care, and comprehensive cancer and rehabilitation services spanning the full continuum of care.
Piedmont Healthcare
The Piedmont Healthcare system includes Piedmont Macon Medical Center, a 310-bed facility providing compassionate, patient-centered care in Middle Georgia. Founded in 1971 as Coliseum Park Hospital by Hospital Corporation of America, Piedmont Macon Medical has grown to be a healthcare leader for middle Georgians.
GEICO
GEICO (Government Employees Insurance Company), the second-largest auto insurer in the U.S., insures more than 28 million vehicles in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. GEICO operates a regional office in Macon.

Bibb County School District
The Bibb County School District develops a highly trained staff and an engaged community dedicated to educating each student for 21st-century global society. The school district serves approximately 21,800 students.
Mercer University
Mercer University’s Macon campus is home to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, School of Medicine, School of Engineering, School of Business, College of Education, and School of Music, along with programs of the College of Professional Advancement and the College of Health Professions. The School of Law is located on Coleman Hill overlooking downtown. Mercer is one of U.S. News & World Report’s top 35 best values among national universities based on academic quality and a student’s average cost of attendance once financial aid is applied.
Middle Georgia State University
Middle Georgia State University educates and graduates inspired, lifelong learners whose scholarship and careers enhance the region through professional leadership, innovative partnerships, and community engagement. The Macon Campus includes a beautiful lake and has a dozen major buildings, including the Robert F. Hatcher, Sr. Conference Center, the state-of-the-art Education Building and the Recreation & Wellness Center. Student housing is available on the Macon Campus, which also is home to the Waddell Barnes Botanical Gardens.

YKK (U.S.A.) Inc. occupies 300 acres in Macon and offers more than 1,500 styles of plastic and metal zippers, the automated equipment to install them, as well as hook and loop self-closing tape fastening systems, plastic buckles, and notions for the apparel industry and personal protective equipment, tactical equipment, transportation, personal care, luggage, furniture, and sporting goods industries.
