The Industrial Authority is pleased to announce that is investing over $90 million in Macon-Bibb County to establish a new fulfillment center. This new investment will create more than 500 jobs in our community, including warehouse, management, and supervisory roles. Full-time employees receive robust benefit plans including insurance, 401(k), bonuses, and more. We have worked hard over the last several months to make this happen and are excited to see the positive impact will have here in Macon-Bibb County and all of Middle Georgia.

The Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority is excited to announce that Graphic Packaging International (GPI), a leading company in the design and manufacturing of packaging for commercial products, will invest $136 million in the modernization of its Macon mill. GPI employs more than 1,330 employees in Georgia, and the Macon mill investment will help retain more than 460 jobs. This investment will enhance GPI’s capability by adding a state-of-the-art curtain coater, automate certain processes, and upgrade the water, generator and air systems to improve the mill’s environmental profile. “I’m delighted Graphic Packaging is investing in its plant here and making a commitment to be a part of our community for many years to come,” said Macon-Bibb County Mayor Robert Reichert.

REQUEST for Proposals

The Macon Bibb County Industrial Authority is soliciting proposals for a joint speculative industrial development venture on specific tracts of Authority-owned property located on Joe Tamplin Industrial Boulevard in Ocmulgee East Industrial Park, and 1031 Airport South Road in Airport South Industrial Park. Proposals will be received in the Authority office, 439 Mulberry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201 until January 12, 2018 at 2:00p.m.
