The MBCIA announced in 2018 the location of Stevens Aerospace and Defense Systems to Macon-Bibb County and their plans to lease a building for large-cabin aircraft operations at Middle Georgia Regional Airport.
In 2018, Stevens Aerospace and Defense Systems, a South Carolina-based company, announced the creation of 150 jobs for an aircraft operations facility in Macon.
