How MBCIA Turns Investment into Community Impact

What happens after a project is announced is where the real story begins. In Macon-Bibb County, growth doesn’t stop at the site. It moves through the entire community.

From Strategy to Site: Bob’s Discount Furniture Breaks Ground in Macon-Bibb

The groundbreaking of Bob’s Discount Furniture’s new logistics facility marks more than a new project in Macon-Bibb County. It is the latest sign that years of work to grow the community’s logistics sector are taking shape in a real and visible way.

The Pinkest Party, Powered by Partnership

The Cherry Blossom Festival, known as the “Pinkest Party on Earth,” is made possible by the dedicated team behind the festival and the many partners who support it each year.

That support includes Macon-Bibb County’s industry leaders—companies like Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED, YKK (USA), Amazon, Graphic Packaging, Nichiha, Irving Tissue, Kumho Tire, and YKK AP—who contribute through sponsorships, employee involvement, and ongoing community engagement.

Together, these efforts help drive real impact. In 2025, the festival generated $6.5 million in economic impact and welcomed more than 200,000 visitors, reinforcing its role as a major driver of tourism and local business activity.

It is a reflection of what makes Macon-Bibb unique. A strong foundation, supported by partnerships, that brings people together and showcases the community on a larger stage.
